I have learned to own it, telling people straight out, but it has still negatively affects my life. I found it necessary to change professions, and recently lost a love interest as my body tremors caused him great concern for what the future with me would be like.
As it affects me I try to use it to grow my life instead of allowing it to always cause problems. Taking a positive attitude that those who decided to unfairly judge me are not worthy of being associated with me.
I by no means asked nor deserved to be beaten so badly that I suffer daily medical effects that cause me to be legally disabled. But it happened to me, and it has happened to those you share life with every day OR it has happened to you.
Somewhere along the way we stopped letting our voice be heard, Many of us going from being victims without justice to being unjustly accused of violence when standing up for ourselves and setting boundaries.
Join me in Advocating against Quiet Domestic Violence and Domestic Abuse. Let our voice be heard and find safety in being heard.
